Unlocked HTC Hero handsets are now available for preorder from Amazon.co.uk. Priced at £429.99, the HTC Hero phones are sim-free unlocked handsets with a release date of July 15th.

The HTC Hero Box Contains:

• HTC Hero 3G Android Sim Free mobile phone
• Quick start guide
• Screen protector
• Travel charger
• Mini-USB data cable
• Standard battery
• Wired stereo headset with 3.5 mm connector
• Accessory leaflet
• 2 GB microSD card

The HTC Hero will launch across the UK next month on the T-Mobile and Orange UK networks. The handset will be available free to new Orange customers from £39.15 per month as part of a two-year contract that will include 1200 any network call minutes, unlimited texts, as well as inclusive anytime internet browsing.

Likewise T-Mobile UK will offer the handset (known as the G1 Touch), free to new customers from £40 per month on their Flext tariff including unlimited internet browsing.
