Great Wall Club Reaches Out to SF Mobile Game commnunity

On the second day of Game Developers Conference (GDC), Great Wall Club and 36kr co-hosted a public event, “Mobile Game Innovation and Startup with China”, at Westin St Francis, San Francisco yesterday on March 8th, 2012. This event has drawn more than 220 game developers and entrepreneurs showed up, focusing on Chinese mobile gaming industry and the general startups.

Si Shen, the CEO of PapayaMobile, Shirly Lin, VP of Beintoo, She Bin, CEO of Firevale, Thomas Luo, the chief writer at CBN Weekly and Victor Tong, the founder of Webplus, and a “lean” angel investor have each delivered a presentation as well as a panel discussion about “Tactics for Mobile Gaming Monetization in China”.

Tencent, as the sponsor of the event, offering one New iPad (3rd generation) as a prize for the Tencent Weibo (Chinese microblog launched by Tencent). Ian Song, the director of Business Development from Tencent said, “Tencent take serious of the partnerships with Apple. We like to support the mobile innovation on iOS and share our value, our revenue and userbase with the developers on iOS. “
