Google is inviting  developers for its  hackathon for iOS developers!  Hackers are asked to create a photo viewing app from scratch in 8 hours and they must compete individually. We’ll have food, Google swag, and prizes for the top 3 apps.  Not sure whats behind, but here is the message from google:

Interested developers must have successfully released an app in the App Store and they must fill out the application form on https://sites.google.com/site/ioshackathon2013/application to participate by Oct 14th. Please note, we can only accept applications through our link and not through Meetup. Feel free to forward the application link and event site to members.
