Founder Challenge: Berry Creek Falls – 11 miles hiking #svesocial @bigbasin Redwood Forest

Please join me, challenging yourself like never before with one the most beautiful nature near Silicon Valley: 7 hours hiking event to see the most beautiful falls within 1 hour of driving distance from SV: Berry Creek Falls at Big Basin Redwood Forest. You can only see this fall after 3 hours hiking!

  • The 7 hours full hiking include 30m pitching session at Berry’s fall and 45 minutes lunch break. This will be the longest hiking event I organized. So please do join me if you exercise or hike regularly.

Duration: 7 hours (including 30m pitching session at Berry Creek Fall and 45 minutes lunch break)

    Length:  11Miles

Overview: Redwoods and waterfalls make this the best hike in the San Francisco Bay Area.

If you’re up for 11 miles and a thousand feet of elevation gain spread out over a half-day, you’ll be amazed to see the strain melt away in this land of the giants.

Veteran Berry Creek Falls hikers recommend a counter-clockwise loop starting on the Sunset Trail, turning left on to the Berry Creek Falls Trail, taking another left onto the Skyline-to-the-Sea trail, which returns to the trailhead.

When to go: This hike can be done in almost any weather. Winter rains bring greater flow to the falls, but the shorter days create a greater risk of running out of daylight.

Tips: Buy a map at the park HQ – it’s easy to get lost at Big Basin without one.

Bring your lunch, and enough water,
