Meetup
Hello Meetup Organizers,

First and foremost, we’re happy to report that Meetup is up, running, and stable.

We’ve issued a 7 day credit to all Meetup Organizers because we know how difficult it was for many of your Meetups to actually Meetup during the recent server attack. This extension was added to your current billing cycle and has been automatically applied to your account. The change is reflected on your account page, and there’s nothing further you need to do.

If your Meetup Group faced an extraordinary challenge due to the outage and there is something else we can do to help you out, please email us at outage@meetup.com — we want to hear!

We’ve heard from Meetup Organizers that it’d be helpful if Meetup HQ sent an email to all Meetup Members to update them, and to let them know they should go see what’s happening in their Meetup Groups. We’ll do that over the next couple days.

The last thing I want to say is thank you for your patience and for doing what you do. This week reminded us of how many people are rooting for Meetup, all of us. Why? Because we stand for something important. So let’s keep creating community and not let them down!

Scott Heiferman,
Co-Founder
and CEO, Meetup

PS. If you have other questions or suggestions, note that we’ve published a list of FAQs on our blog, which should help to answer some of your questions.
