1. Dear David,

   I’m writing you because my company, D3 Productions Inc., is seeking two SF Bay Area startup owners/CEOs to participate in a TV documentary made for distribution to PBS stations nationwide. F50 seems to be a strong community of startups in the Bay Area so I thought it would be best to reach out to you with our casting call. We hope you can spread the word among the F50 community about this exciting trip. The documentary will be filmed in Shenzhen, China for 12 days in June (dates TBD). All expenses will be covered, including international airfare, in-country travel, lodging, and meals.

   The individual’s experience of startup in America will provide the program with an interesting contrasting perspective on China’s startups.

   We have specific criteria (ex. age and personality type) of the kind of people we are looking for to be in our documentary. You will see all the criteria and application instructions in the text below.

   CASTING CALL

   SF BAY AREA STARTUP OWNERs/CEOs FOR A FREE TRIP
   TO CHINA TO VISIT CHINESE SILICON VALLEY IN SHENZHEN, CHINA
   AND APPEAR ON TV.

   An Emmy-award winning TV production company is seeking two SF-Bay Area OWNER/CEO of startups to participate in our next feature-length travel documentary to the silicon valley of China in Shenzhen. The show will be released to PBS stations nationwide.

   The documentary will be filmed in Shenzhen, China over 12 days in June (dates TBD). All expenses will be covered, including international airfare, in-country travel, lodging, and meals.

   We are looking for two owners/CEOs of startups at ages 25 or older in the SF Bay Area who would be interested in learning about Hi-Tech industry in China.

   Candidates need to be:

   • Open-minded
   • Adventurous
   • A good storyteller
   • Willing to try new things
   • Easy-going
   • In good health
   • Enthusiastic
